Federal government has set up mobile courts for hospitals that reject accidents and other emergency patients.

The minister of women affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, announced this at an award project celebration with the theme: “Unlock Grants Award” in Abuja.

Uju said, “The federal government has directed all hospitals in the country not to reject emergency patients in their facilities.

“Mobile courts have been set up to try hospitals that reject emergency patients in their facilities, and as a matter of urgency, hospitals have been directed to put a signpost, ‘No more rejection of emergency patients,’ to create awareness.”

She expressed gratitude for the public’s concern and called on the public to report any case of rejection in any hospital in the country for appropriate sanction.
