Oguntona who revealed this during a fitness walk and health check organised by the organisation for its staff as part of activities to mark five its years of operation in the state, said the bus service has so far covered over 27 million kilometres and constantly provided mobility for 60,000 Lagos residents on daily basis.

Dwelling on some of the landmark achievements of the company, Oguntona revealed that the company which started with just five routes in 2019 now boasts of over 30 routes, due to the commitment of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

He also stated that in line with the promise made by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in providing reliable, efficient and safe public transportation, the fleet of buses available to LBSL in 2019 rose from 50 buses to 300 buses as at today.

“In keeping in line with the vision of President Bola Tinubu on a clean and green economy, it means that public transportation will be running on clean energy, leveraging the huge gas possibility that we have to power our buses. We have started a pilot with the private sector under the leadership of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) to see how the buses can perform in our environment”, he said.
