Akwa Ibom State governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has swiftly responded to his alma mater, St. Francis Secondary School, Ikot Ataku, Okon, in Eket local government area, ravaged by perennial flood, ordering a construction firm to fix the school’s internal roads with drainage facilities.

Recall that Gov Eno, in line with his ARISE Agenda which places a premium on educational development, had months ago, visited the institution where he inspected some dilapidated facilities and approved rehabilitation works and the construction of internal roads totaling 1.2km, as well as a 1.45km access road into the institution.

Giving an insight into the project at the weekend, the managing director/chief executive officer (CEO) of the contracting firm, Jeoshkay Limited, Engr Eric Ese, disclosed that work on the internal roads was already at 65 percent completion and will be delivered in August this year.
