The prayer which held at about 8am at the Eid Prayer Ground Mosque was led by the Chief Imam of the Katsina Central Mosque, Alhai Imam Gambo Mustapha.

Participants called for the intensification of such prayers by the residents to ensure a bumper harvest towards easing the prevailing economic hardship.

Faithful also prayed for bumper harvest to help in the reduction of food prices and resolving the insecurity situation currently bedeviling the state, Channels TV reported.

One of the participant, Malam Abdurrahman Bature, told correspondents that crop plantations are in dire need of water to survive, amidst the high cost of food items in the market.
