As the popularity of the PDP candidate, Barrister  Asue Ighodalo and his running mate, Osarodion Ogie,  soars among Edo voters, some residents of his Ewohimi community in Esan South East local government area of the state have vowed to deliver block votes for him in the September 21 governorship poll.

They said Asue over the years had continued to identify with the plight of the down trodden in his community with the provision of basic amenities without making noise about it, noting that they were excited that he is running for the office of governor and were ready to reciprocate his kind gesture.

They also said attempts by the APC candidate , Sen. Monday Okpebholo, to discredit Asue with false narratives over Asue’s community service and philanthropic gestures was propelled by fear of immnent defeat awaiting the APC in the contest.

An indigene of Ewohimi, Mr Odion Samson, said the people are proud of Asue’s track record of achievements in the private sector and in governance which stand him tall above any other candidate and expressed confidence in his ability to steer the ship of the state to prosperity and development.

Another resident, Mrs Ailodin Itolo, said Asue remains a beacon of hope and succour to many people in the community by providing and supporting developmental projects, including scholarships for students.

Itolo said; “What Asuelime did for us, only God will bless him. I went to his compound to cry for help and he assisted me and my family. Now I can eat and talk.

“During the Covid-19 pandemic, he also helped the community share enough food stuff. It was more than three trucks that he brought to this village and they were filled with food stuffs, we all prayed for him to be victorious in the September 21 governorship election.

“I enjoin every one of us to please vote for him and his running mate because they have come to help Edo State.
