A 23-year-old man simply identified as Samson has stabbed his mother to death in Obiaruku, Delta State for cautioning him against smoking early in the morning.

The late mother who was in her 50s reportedly confronted her son that it was too early to be smoking, and this allegedly enraged Samson who resulted to stabbing his mother with a knife.

Samson’s elder brother, who is a sickle cell patient raised the alarm with a shout and this attracted people into the compound because the gate of the compound was still under locks.

The deceased was met in the pool of her own blood by the time neighbours gained access into the house to stop the suspect from attacking his mother.

“Perhaps she shouted at him. Then Samson went inside, brought out a knife and stabbed his mother.

An X user identified as Ose in a video he posted showed Samson with the knife he allegedly used to kill his mother.
