“This will be part of our bottom-top approach to fast track the industrial development of the state, promote rural entrepreneurship, reduce their production costs, create employments, and generate revenue for the government.”
Emenike said the potentialities of Aba is so enormous that if there are properly harnessed and managed, the government will have enough revenue to execute its programmes and projects without borrowing.
“Our investigations revealed that what the enterprenuering people desire most are quality infrastructure and basic amenities, security, financial institutions for loan facilities, and government incentives. Our government will provide all these for them.
“In our hunger to develop and create employments in the state, we’ll establish a university in this city(Aba). Secondary schools are centres of learning, but universities are known globally to combine learning with many shades of business activities.”
Commending the stateholders for their large turnout, he told them that the election will be easily won only if they go the extra mile in wooing as much voters as possible in order to take control of Abia and actualize the party’s lofty agenda for the state.
In his remarks, the chairman of the party, Dr Kingsley Ononogbu said among the things in favour of the development economist is that he is not among those who brought the state to its present state of decadence and hardship.
In his comments, the host and former minister of Labour and Productivity, Barr Emeka Wogu said Emenike’s emergence could not have happened at a better time than now. “We must have a change through him.”
