Former South Africa goalkeeper, Alex Heredia has questioned Kaizer Chiefs’ decision to sign Rwandan goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari.

Chiefs were strongly linked with Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, who impressed in the Premier Soccer League last season.

Nwabali also shone for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Kaizer Chiefs recently signed Rwandan national team goalkeeper, Ntwari.

Heredia stated that the South African giants should have gone for Nwabali instead of Ntwari.

“For a goalkeeper to perform, he needs a good team. It’s the same with the team. But the Nigerian, Nwabali, looks more solid compared to the Rwandan because we’ve seen most of his games,” he told Kick Off

“I watched him both here in the PSL and at the AFCON, and he’s done quite well. In my opinion, the Nigerian would have been a more positive option for Chiefs.”.
