UNILORIN Students Sustained Injuries In Auto Crash

There was uneasy calm at the main campus of the University of Ilorin yesterday as some students of the institution sustained varying degrees of injury in a lone auto crash that occurred around the main gates of the university.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the accident involving a commercial bus was due to a tyre burst while the bus was in motion.

A source said that one of the victims of the accident lost her arm, while another source claimed that a female victim appeared lifeless on the road.

The director of corporate affairs of the university, Mr. Kunle Akogun, confirmed the accident but said that no casualty was recorded.

He said that the accident victims were being treated in the school clinic.

A viral video of the accident’s scene showed the victims writhing in pain while a female student with blood on her head appeared lifeless on the road.
