The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects for killing a man identified as Umaru whom they accused of witchcraft.

The accused include a 35-year-old Adamu Alhaji Bamu and Manu Alhaji Bamu, 32, both of Kila village in Toungo local government area of the state.

The suspects have both confessed to the crime.

The suspects told the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, that the deceased had killed two children of Adamu.

Narrating the incident, Adamu said that the deceased was not born a witch but he was inducted into it when he lost all his cattle.

He added that the deceased had earlier informed them of his intention to buy witchcraft for the purpose of killing his father and inherit his cattle.

He further narrated that their victim started bewitching Adamu’s children after he had failed to kill his father according to his plan.
