A post confirming the arrests on the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of the Command, said the exercise was held at midnight with the teams combing the deadly spots in those areas.

“The exercise was aimed at reducing criminal activities in the areas as the all-male suspects have been handed over to the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce),” the post said.

Consequently, the Commander Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Shola Jejeloye has directed the squad’s riders to extend their operations to Lekki, Jakande Roundabout and VGC areas of the state.

Recall that the RRS had in conjunction with the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) embarked on convoy patrol of some areas in the metropolis to reassure Lagosians of the safety of their lives and property.
