Savvy music executive and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mavin Records said it is suicidal to release his artiste’s songs on the same as Wizkid or Asake.

Don Jazzy made the backhanded compliment in a podcast interview with online personality Fisayo Fosudo.

Considered the most successful Nigerian artistes in the present music streaming era, Don Jazzy said Mavin Records has moved from the usual Friday release date for mid-week release, particularly when both stars are releasing their songs same day.

“We (Mavin) are moving from the traditional Friday release date to Wednesdays and Thursdays because there are no more Fridays (without another artiste dropping a song).

“If mt artiste is to drop a song or project on a Friday and Wizkid or Asake is also releasing that day, I will move our release date because you don’t want to just die a natural death.”
