Premier League champions Manchester City have been fined £2.1m in total by the league body for separate breaches of league rules across the last two seasons.

Man City are already at odds with the Premier League over the club’s 115 alleged breaches of financial rules, were accused of a delayed start to either the first or second half in 22 fixtures over the last two seasons. The Citizens lifted the title in both of those campaigns.

The Premier League, in a statement released on Wednesday, confirmed that it has reached a sanction agreement with Manchester City after the club admitted they had broken kick-off and restart obligations.

The reigning Premier League champions have been fined £2.1m in total, with the breaches coming across the last two seasons.
