The chief operating officer (COO) of Ibom Air, George Uriesi, has called for enhanced collaboration among Nigerian aviation industry workers in a bid to ensure growth.
A statement by the airline said that Uriesi made the position as the Special Guest Speaker at the Nigerian Aviation Fire and Safety Association (NAFSA) Biennial Conference with the theme: ‘Rationale for Collaborations and Inclusiveness in Emergency Response Geared Towards Achieving the Aviation Roadmap,’ held in Abuja.
According to the statement, Uriesi emphasised the pivotal role of partnerships in emergency response strategies, while also highlighting the important role the fire and safety personnel play in the aviation ecosystem.
Uriesi also encouraged the firefighters to remain steadfast in the discharge of their duties, maintaining that they play a very important and life-saving role in the scheme of things, even though they may only be recognised during emergencies.
The statement added, “The conference, a pivotal event for aviation safety and emergency management professionals, served as a platform for robust discussions on advancing emergency response capabilities in line with Nigeria’s aviation roadmap.
“It was a significant opportunity for stakeholders to stay informed about the latest advancements and strategies in the aviation sector.”
