Ex-Deputy Speaker Urges Rivers Youths To Shun Planned Protest

Former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Prince Chibudom Nwuche has called on youths of Ekpeye ethnic nationality in Rivers State not to join any planned protest for which they do not know the organisers and their motives.

Nwuche stated this while addressing the youths at the sideline of the just concluded ward executives and ad-hoc delegates congress at Ahoada Town in Ahoada-East local government area of the state.
He stated that even though the people are very poor amidst the hunger in Nigeria, they should understand that the President Bola Tinubu-led administration met Nigeria almost prostrate based on the poor governance of past administrations where Nigeria was left totally broke ravaged by unemployment, insecurity and killings across the nation especially in Kaduna, Plateau, Benue, Bornu, amongst others.

The former deputy speaker advised the youths to be patient with the determined Tinubu-led administration that has shown sincere commitment by lining up various programmes to end the country’s hunger, suffering and terror.

Nwuche noted that for the first time under the Tinubu administration, Boko Haram terrorists are now under serious pressure and have been releasing hostages, including children and women, in their bid to escape the superior firepower of the now determined and motivated military under the command of President Tinubu.

He urged youths across the country, especially those of Rivers State, to give the government a chance, as no government can fix the problem inherited by the Tinubu administration within a year.

Nwuche emphasised that Tinubu has shown commitment to River’s people by appointing Nyesom Wike as Minister of the FCT, who has indeed not disappointed any Nigerian in his performance but has made the people of the Niger Delta proud by restoring the lost glory of Abuja through the rebuilding of infrastructure in terms of roads, bridges, railways and social welfare etc.

He called on Nigerians to ignore paid agents hired to malign the minister of the FCT based on their selfish interests and motivations by people who envy the minister’s track records in Rivers State and the FCT and, therefore, are desperate to pull him down.
