Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State command has assured residents of the state of adequate protection of lives and property during the planned nationwide protest.

The commandant, Usman Alfadarai, stated this while speaking to newsmen at the command’s headquarters in Umuahia, the state capital, adding that there was no cause for alarm.
“The command is fully prepared to protect lives and properties as well as national assets and infrastructure in the state, before, during and after the protest,” he maintained.

“We understand the concerns of the public and want to assure them that we have made adequate arrangements to ensure their safety and security.

“Our officers and men are well-trained and equipped to handle any situation that may arise during the protest. They will not spare anyone found engaging in any form of destruction,” he said.
