A close associate of Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Aminu Zaria, has praised his economic initiatives, citing three ‘unforgettable actions’ that showcase his innovative leadership in the North-West State.

He explained that Governor Sani’s launch of Kaduna’s climate change policy which is the first of its kind in the North and second in the country; the first L-CNG station in Nigeria, and the commissioning of a state-of-the-art Lithium processing plant, the first of its kind in the North also, were earth-shaking achievements in the State.

“Firstly, Governor Sani has made Kaduna the first state in the North and second in Nigeria to launch a comprehensive blueprint on climate change. This landmark policy sets a benchmark for climate action in the region, demonstrating Kaduna’s dedication to addressing climate change challenges. The policy outlines a framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting renewable energy, and enhancing the state’s adaptability to climate change impacts,” Aminu Zaria stated.

He said secondly, Governor Sani launched Nigeria’s first L-CNG (Liquefied Compressed Natural Gas) in Kaduna, introducing a cleaner and more economical energy source. “This shift towards alternative fuels promises substantial cost savings and environmental benefits, positioning Nigeria’s energy sector for growth.”

Going further to list the third economic action of the governor, the governor’s associate said: “Thirdly, Governor Sani commissioned a state-of-the-art lithium processing plant in Kangimi, Igabi Local Government Area, in partnership with Ming Xin Mineral Separation Nigeria Ltd. The plant boasts an initial capacity of 1,500 metric tonnes per day, with plans to increase investment from $20 million to $25 million within two years.”

Aminu Zaria hailed Governor Sani’s achievements, saying, “these groundbreaking initiatives showcase Governor Sani’s innovativeness and commitment to progress. He is indeed a progressive leader in Nigeria’s democratic space, and his actions will have a lasting impact on Kaduna State and the nation at large.”
