The ARYA made this known during a press conference held today, following a series of engagements with various stakeholders.

Comrade Akoshile Mukhtar, President of ARYA, expressed gratitude to the FCT Minister for his efforts in transforming Abuja into a city all Nigerians can be proud of.

“The Honourable Minister has shown a clear commitment to fostering a more inclusive and progressive Abuja. His initiatives have addressed immediate concerns and set the foundation for sustainable development,” said Comrade Mukhtar.

Emphasizing the importance of peace and dialogue among the youth of Abuja, Comrade Mukhtar urged them to embrace these principles as essential for achieving an inclusive government.

“Our country, Nigeria, belongs to us all, and we must own it with a sense of responsibility. Peace and dialogue are crucial for representing and serving all citizens. Let us work together to foster unity and collaboration,” he added.

Reviewing the recent ministerial town hall meetings, Comrade Mukhtar highlighted their role in bridging the gap between the government and the youth.

He urged that these engagements be sustained periodically to ensure continuous dialogue and peaceful coexistence.

“Sustained dialogue between the government and the youth will lead to more informed and inclusive policy-making,” he stated.

Calling on the FCT Minister to remain focused on his developmental agenda, Comrade Mukhtar said, “We must recognize the unprecedented achievements of the FCT Minister within just one year in office. Let us support him as he builds on these achievements.”

In a bid to promote peace and unity, Comrade Mukhtar declared a Week of Peace starting next week, including activities such as a Peace Walk, Peace Talk, and Prayer Sessions. “The Week of Peace will serve as a powerful reminder of our commitment to a peaceful and prosperous Abuja,” he announced.

Supporting the ARYA’s stance, Comrade Okpanachi Jacob, Convener of the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations for the Development of FCT, praised the leadership’s efforts in addressing residents’ concerns through constructive dialogue. “Their commitment to peace and development is commendable,” said Comrade Jacob.

In conclusion, Comrade Mukhtar reaffirmed ARYA’s commitment to working with the government and security agencies to maintain peace and order in the FCT. “The future of Abuja lies in our hands. By embracing peace, dialogue, and cooperation, we can build a city that reflects the best of Nigeria,” he concluded.

The press conference underscored ARYA’s dedication to fostering a peaceful and inclusive environment in Abuja, reinforcing their role as a vital voice for the youth and residents of the capital city.
