The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the United States of America has called on Nigerians, particularly the youths, to embrace peaceful dialogue with the government to find solutions to the hardship being experienced in the country, which propelled the current protest.

Professor Adesegun Labinjo, who led a delegation of APC leaders in the United States of America, made this call during a courtesy visit to the party’s national chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday.

Labinjo noted that the current hardship was not peculiar to Nigeria but a global issue; hence, a peaceful approach was more pertinent than the present violent protest, which was doing more harm than good to the country.

While pledging support to the APC chairman and President Bola Tinubu’s administration, he said, “We support you and our great President. We noted that since this country is facing turbulence at this time, we’re going there to show our support for our president, the national leadership of our party, and our great country.

“Despite the discouragement, we insisted on coming. In the face of all the turmoil they projected will happen, we’re here to support our president, Dr Ganduje and our country and national leaders.”

In his remarks, Ganduje said Tinubu was doing all that was needed to be done, and Nigerians would soon emerge from the present situation. He added that the president was working very hard on the economy, and the people would soon see positive results.

He said, “There’s no doubt that, as a developing country, even the so-called developed economies have their turbulence in one way or another. So, it’s unsurprising that Nigeria has its share of the problem. This has happened before.

“You’ll recall that obstacles must be on the way whenever there is a reform agenda. As a result, people must suffer in one way or the other.

But in the long run, everything will go according to plan. Our president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, came in to introduce reforms.
