This seeks to ensure lasting US and African public/private sector trade and investment projects during this time of unprecedented global challenges and profound change will build on the momentum of recent years with its focus on investment opportunities in the sub-Saharan Africa region.

Founder & executive director, SSABIS, Joyce Rogers explained that “it is with great excitement that we again bring SSABIS to New York and unleash the power of Africa’s private sector.”

She stated that it is in the strategic interests of both Africa and the U.S. to encourage broader and deeper business connections, saying that “the Summit will be an evening dedicated to networking and creating business relationships.

“We believe the time is right for America and the global community to engage in Africa and that newfound opportunities exist for African businesses to thrive in the U.S and globally.”

Halliday emphasised that “SSABIS is all about making deals and engaging in lively, practical discussions that focus on what is important in growing investment in Africa and in the U.S and the global community at large.”

Numerous Presidential and Ministerial delegations have already committed to attending the Summit, along with select U.S. officials from the Department of State, Congress, USAID, and Prosper Africa, as well as business leaders from a cross-section of industries.

SSABIS is a consortium of international trade and investment partners that facilitate trade promotions and foreign direct investment into sub-Saharan Africa.

The organisation is managed by a team with diverse expertise ranging from public-private partnerships, global trade facilitation, business development, and private equity to government relations and organisational leadership for civil society.
