The event was part of the association’s 60th anniversary.

The parade, held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the Kano State Police Command headquarters, aimed to boost the morale and confidence of Police Officers who have been working tirelessly to maintain law and order in the state.

Led by the POWA chairperson, Hajiya Faty Salman Dogo, the POWA members marched through the Command’s premises, showcasing their support and gratitude for their husbands’ dedication, selfless service, and commitment to ensuring public safety.

The State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, commended the POWA members for their initiatives and thanked them for their unwavering support. He emphasised that the gesture has significantly boosted the confidence of the officers, who were working diligently to keep Kano State safer and more secure.
