APC South-West Caucus Mourns Late Oyo Chairman Omodewu

The South-West Zonal caucus of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has expressed shock over the demise of one of its caucus members and chairman of the party in Oyo State, Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu.

The caucus, in a statement signed by its Chairman, Hon. Issaac Kekemeke and made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Wednesday is worried that about the passing Omodewu “at the time his role as the Chairman of the Party is needed to hold the Party together and to assist in moving the South west Zone of the Party forward.”

The APC zonal caucus commiserates with the immediate family members of the deceased while mourning with members of the party across the country.

“We commiserate with the immediate family of this amiable and hard-working gentleman and mourn with members of the party, not only in Oyo State, the South West Zone but throughout Nigeria.

“This has posed a further challenge for our members in Oyo State and our prayer is that God will condole and console us all within the APC family,” Kekemeke said.

LEADERSHIP recalls that Omodewu, the Otu, Oyo State-born late chairman of the APC died on Sunday in the United States of America where he had undergone treatments for an undisclosed ailment.

He was 61 years of age.
