“In Yobe State, the Fadama NG CARES programme is one of the four delivery platforms implementing the programme with primary focus on agribusiness-related activities under the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, 2, 500 farmers are targeted in this phase of the training that will receive training in innovative agriculture in crops and livestock production, market linkages, storage system and savings respectively.

Two communities each with 68 beneficiaries carefully selected by guided criteria of being the most poor, most vulnerable and aged/elderly minded from the state single register and farmers register respectively,” she said.

Amshi commended governor Mai Mala Buni for approving the project as well as facilitating its take-off for people to benefit from the COVID-19 assistance and support.
