Dr Usman said, “Recall that this place originally hosted the defunct Bida General Hospital built in 1927. We took it over in 1997 when the federal government established the centre.”

He said a strength and weakness analysis was conducted when he assumed duty three years ago to assess the structures. It was discovered that most of the structures needed reconstruction and restructuring.
