The chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Interior, Abdullahi Aliyu, has expressed his condolences to the Yar’Adua family, the government, and the people of Katsina State over the passing of Hajiya Dada, mother of former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

Hajiya Dada, who died at 102, was described by Ahmad as a “gem of inestimable value” who mentored many reputable Nigerian leaders during her lifetime. He praised her as a mother figure who welcomed everyone into her home, regardless of their background, with love and enthusiasm.

Aliyu, representing Musawa/Matazu federal constituency of Katsina State, in statement issued by his media aide Francis Sardauna, states: “I am saddened by the passing of Hajiya Dada, the beloved mother of our dear respected political leader, mentor, and father, late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. Dada was an accomplished and true matriarch who lived a faithful life in accordance with Islamic tenets.”

He extended his profound grief and condolences to the Yar’Adua family, the government, and people of Katsina State, praying that Allah forgives her shortcomings and grants her Al-jannah Firdausi.
