Court Sentences 15 ‘Shila Boys’ To Jail Terms For Various Crimes In Adamawa

The Chief Magistrate Court 2 presided over by Adamu Adamu has sentenced fifteen (15) thugs, popularly known as ‘Shila’ boys to various years of imprisonment for various offenses in Adamawa State.

The miscreants whose jail term ranges from one to five years were convicted after they were tried and found guilty of offences ranging from extortion, receiving stolen property, thuggery, criminal conspiracy and causing grievous hurt.

Those to serve five years behind the bar include Umar Abubakar and Sadam Yakubu with options of N120, 000 and N150,000 fines respectively for receiving stolen property.

The court also handed down various jail terms to Abdulrahaman Tasiu, 2 years; Abdulazeez Mohammed, 3 years; Aliyu Bala, 2 years; John Josiah, 2 years; Rabiu Adamu, 3 years and Anas Adamu, 2 years without option of fine.

Others include Osama Adamu, 3 years; Haruna Musa, 3 years; Mujahid Saidu, 3 years; Abdulrahaman Usman, 2 years or N150,000 fine; Aliyu Umar, 2 years or N150,000 fine; Abdullahi Isa 2 years or option of N50,000 fine and Shettima Mohammed, a jail term of 2 years or N200,000 fine option.
