In a statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu urged Muslims to use this period for deep reflection and remembrance of the Holy Prophet’s exemplary conduct and noble teachings.

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has called on the Muslim Ummah to reflect deeply daily on the life and times of Prophet Muhammad, highlighting virtues such as peace, patience, and tolerance as they celebrate Maulud.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor urged adherents of Islam to continue to be peaceful, noting that Prophet Muhammad lived a life worthy of emulation by all.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi has expressed concern about the current economic hardships that have made life extremely difficult for the generality of Nigerians.

“As a responsive and responsible government, we are very much worried about the current economic hardship that has made life for the generality of the people of Nigeria extremely difficult,” he said.

In a goodwill message on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud celebration, issued by his media aide Comrade Mukhtar Gidado on Sunday, the governor appealed to the Muslim faithful to pray for Allah’s (SWT) intervention to end the calamity.

Plateau State Governor Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim Ummah in the state and beyond on Eid-ul-Maulud, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

In a press statement issued last night by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, the governor emphasised the profound significance of Eid-ul-Maulud for the Muslim community.

According to him, Prophet Muhammad is known for his crucial role in spreading the message of Islam and fostering peace and unity among followers.

In addition to the Federal Government’s declaration of Monday, 16th September, as a public holiday, the Jigawa State Government has also declared Tuesday, 17th September 2024, as a holiday to mark the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

This was stated in a release signed by the State Head of the Civil Service, Muhammad K. Dagaceri, and made available to newsmen through his public relations officer, Comrade Samaila Ibrahim Dutse.
