Osimhen linked up with the Turkish Super Lig champions on loan from Napoli two weeks ago.

The forward will battle the likes of Mauro Icardi, Michy Batshuayi and Burak Yilmaz for a starting spot in the team.

“I knew that Galatasaray was a very good team before I came. I will try to contribute as well. There is no competition between us and the center forwards,” he told the club’s official website.

“Icardi is a legend of this game. Batshuayi is also a very important and deadly forward. I definitely have things to learn from both of them. I think we will cooperate with them.”

The powerful striker bagged an assist for the Lion on his debut against Caykur Rizespor on Saturday night.

Osimhen reflected on the impressive 5-0 victory at the RAMS PARK.

First of all, I am very happy to be here. I came to this city for the first time. We met with our fans.

“What we experienced was a great feeling. It was a very important match. It was very valuable that we won the first match with a big difference.

“I am happy here. We want to continue like this and win every match,” he added.
