During a recent appearance on the ’90s Babies podcast, Oxlade revealed that his parents told him that he began singing at an exceptionally young age, even before he had developed his speaking skills. He noted that as a child, he could sing with greater ease and speed than he could form coherent sentences.

Oxlade attributed his natural inclination towards music to these early experiences, suggesting that this foundational exposure played a significant role in shaping his talent. “I started singing before I started talking. My parents told me that I started singing before I could even talk,” he explained. “I sang faster than catching up with talks. That was what my parents told me. I feel like that was where it [my talent] all started from.”
