This was disclosed to newsmen by the founder of the  NGO, Barr. Justina Chioma Ohaa  during the free medical outreach  in Umuehie, Anara in Isiala Mbano local government of Imo State.

She said, “Given that the hardship in the country has taken a dangerous dimension, some old and sick ones in our community, especially widows, can no longer afford access to medical facilities. This prompted the organisation to launch a free medical outreach, targeting the poorest of the poor. We are currently taking care of over 500  patients with different sicknesses”.

“To achieve this, we engaged medical personnel including five surgeons from different specialties to handle surgeries at our expense. We had five pharmacists and 10 qualified nurses to diagnose and dispense medication to the aged and less privileged in the community.

“The foundation has 12 students under her scholarship scheme from secondary school to tertiary institutions. We have vocational training and empowerment for the youths. We offer provision of palliatives twice a year to the widows, less privileged, orphans and support agricultural empowerment.”
