“I stand before you today as we take yet another step towards getting the education sector on its foot in Kano State.

“This is the revival of the unfortunate state of the education sector in Kano State; with the deteriorating infrastructure, high number of out-of-school children by the former administration.

“I am happy to say that as the people’s government, we are fully committed to addressing these issues in our commitment to restore the educational system.

“We have been working tirelessly to ensure that we transform the educational sector in our dear state,” Governor Yusuf stated.

The governor further pointed out that training and retraining of teachers has been part of the government’s priority while it had also embarked on massive rehabilitation of schools and construction of new blocks of classrooms to ensure a conducive learning environment for students.

Earlier, the commissioner for education, Umar Haruna Doguwa commended the governor for his untiring support to the education ministry as well as his commitment towards reviving the sector.
