As part of the avowed commitments of the federal government of Nigeria to bring 100 million Nigerians out of poverty, the National Directorate of Employment, NDE-FCT has engaged not fewer than 30 unemployed youths on various skills under the environmental beautification training scheme.
The director-general of the NDE, Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo who was ably represented by the NDE-FCT state coordinator, Noble Chimereze said during the orientation program for the 30 participants that NDE has remained passionate about reducing poverty in the land through profitable skill engagement, that will turn fortunes of participants from job seekers to job providers.
Fikpo charged participants to be business minded, submit themselves to be trained by the master trainers on their choice of skills so as to better their lots and that of the people around them.
Also, the head if department, special public works department of the NDE- FCT, Sani Nadappo said the scheme is a very robust and l ranges from satellite installation, CCTV cameras installation, projection, PoP making and installation, adding that the participants will be sent to various competent organizations that will train them within a period of three months.
Nadappo said that participants will be given N2,000 each, every months to support their transportation and upon completion of the three months training, NDE is going to empower participants with start up packs that will enable them to be economic independent and contribute their quota to the economic development of the nation.
Appreciating the NDE, one of the participants John Chobo thanked the NDE management for giving them the opportunity to be part of the training, saying the training will go a long way to improving their livelihood.
