Special assistant to Delta State governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, on Female Youth Development, Engr. Miracle Arimobi, stated this in Asaba yesterday while addressing journalists.

She said the leadership roles may not be limited to politics but extending to other areas where leadership is crucial.

Arimobi emphasised that her goal is to collaborate with mentors, both within and outside the state, to help women understand the need for more female involvement in leadership.

Arimobi further explained that her work involves overcoming stereotypes and breaking barriers for young women, encouraging them to work hard and take leadership roles without relying on political connections or favouritism.

“We need more women in government, politics, and leadership, and we’re working to ensure that through collaboration.

“Many women fail in leadership positions because they don’t have the proper equipment to hold such roles. This is where we come in,” she added.

“The Delta State government is actively involved in supporting women’s inclusion in governance and politics,” she said.

On his part, chairman, NUJ, Delta State Council, Comrade Churchill Oyowe explained the purpose of the Journalists Hangout which focuses on development and projecting the positive achievements of individuals in various sectors.
