NBAIS Releases 2024 SASSCE Results

The National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) has officially released the 2024 June/July Senior Arabic and Islamic Secondary School Certificate Examination (SASSCE) results.

Releasing the results, the registrar and CEO of the Board, Professor Yahuza Sulaiman Imam stated that an unprecedented total number of 40,758 candidates registered for the 2024 June/July SASSCE as against the 33,922 recorded in the year 2023.

Also, 9,399 candidates registered for science subjects while 4,080 registered for Tajweed/Tahfiz.

A statement issued by the Board’s head of Information and Protocol, Mu’azu Yunusa Sambo, said the result shows that 62% of the candidates passed the science subjects.

According to the statement, “In terms of gender, 24,524 female candidates, representing 60% registered whereas 16,196 representing 40% registered for the SAISSCE.

“The result revealed that 71% of the candidates scored credit and above in the five major subjects, including English and Mathematics.

 

“The result further shows that 62% of the candidates passed the science subjects.

“Professor Yahuza Sulaiman Imam thanked the Federal Ministry of Education, staff of the Board, State Ministry of Education, Stakeholders and the Press for putting all hands on deck for the overall success of the year 2024 SAISSCE June/July Examination.

 

“It may be recall that the 2024 Senior Arabic and Islamic Secondary School Certificate Examination (SAISSCE) June/July marking exercise conducted by the Board commenced on 18th July and ended on 27th September, 2024,” the statement reads.

 

The statement, however, disclosed that registration for the November/December 2024 SAISSCE Examination had commenced on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024.
