2 Killed As Lagos School Fence Collapses

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of two persons following the collapse of a school fence in Ejigbo area of the State.

It was gathered that the tragic incident occurred on Saturday when one Amaka (30), Etim (28), and Emmanuel (12), were passing by the school fence.

The State Police Command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed and confirmed the incident to journalists in Lagos on Tuesday.

 

He remarked that the incident happened at about 11:00am at Apano Street in Ejigbo area of Lagos.

He stated, “The fence collapsed on Amaka (30) Etim (28), and Emmanuel (12), all residents of Ejigbo, while they were walking home during the heavy rainfall.

“Hence, the trio sustained severe injury while they became unconscious.

 

“They were rescued and rushed to Isolo General Hospital for treatment, where Etim and Emmanuel were confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.”

 

“Amaka is still receiving treatment at Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi,” added the police spokesperson.
