Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has expressed grief over the explosion of a petrol-laden tanker in Jigawa State, leading to the death of over 150 people.

In a message by his chief press secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor expressed his condolences to the government and people of Jigawa State over the incident, which he described as heartbreaking and unfortunate.

He said it was a trying moment for the government and the people of Jigawa State.

The governor said, “I share in your pains and griefs. My prayers and those of every Nigerlite are with you.”

He, therefore, prayed that Allah will repose the souls of the dead victims and grant healing to those that sustained injuries as well as comfort the families of the victims.
