Nigerian-born artist ToluDami (full name Oladimeji Toluwani Oluwadamilola) has released his debut EP Careless on September 28th, 2024. This EP, which features seven tracks, is a deeply personal project that reflects ToluDami’s emotional and musical evolution. Blending Afrobeats, pop, and R&B, Careless is a sonic exploration of themes such as heartbreak, emotional detachment, and self-reflection.
ToluDami’s influences include some of the most iconic artists in contemporary music, such as Drake, Wizkid, Post Malone, Lil Wayne, and The Weeknd. These artists have shaped ToluDami’s style, and their impact can be heard throughout the EP. “Careless represents a journey,” ToluDami explains. “It’s about self-reflection, figuring out where you stand emotionally, and how you navigate relationships. I’ve put my personal experiences into each track.” He featured F3Miii and Hyzah on My Syd record while on Vibration he featured on F3Miii.
From the heart-wrenching ballad “Water pack” to the upbeat yet introspective “Okunrin Meta,” and “Sugar Coat” each song on Careless reveals a different facet of ToluDami’s emotional experience. The EP showcases his ability to blend various genres and his versatility as an artist.
