AIICO Insurance Wins Quadruple Awards For Insurance Penetration

For enhancing insurance penetration in the country, AIICO Insurance Plc and its boss won two awards at the recently concluded 2024 Almond Insurance Industry Awards, after its MD/CEO won BusinessDay Newspaper’s ‘Top 25 CEOs Award’ while the corporate brand also won the Marketing Edge ‘Outstanding Insurance Company of the Decade’ Award.

At the 2024 Almond Insurance Industry Awards, AIICO Insurance Plc claimed two of the evening’s most prestigious honours: ‘Life Insurance Company of the Year’ and the highly sought-after ‘Insurance chief executive officer of the Year’ for the company’s MD/CEO., Babatunde Fajemirokun.

The awards ceremony, which celebrated exceptional achievements within Nigeria’s insurance sector, featured a night of glamour, entertainment, and special performances.

For the second consecutive year, AIICO Insurance Plc was recognised as the Life Insurance Company of the Year, a category judged on rigorous criteria including; financial strength, premium growth, customer service excellence, CSR, and speed in claims settlement. Babatunde Fajemirokun’s award as Insurance CEO of the Year recognised his exceptional leadership, strategic direction, and dedication to AIICO’s success. Candidates for this award were evaluated based on length of service, company performance, and innovations in their company and the industry.

Meanwhile, the BusinessDay award is in recognition and appreciation for the leadership, innovation, and resilience demonstrated by Fajemirokun, and also his performance in areas such as financial management, strategic planning, profitability, employee motivation, strong customer and stakeholders’ management even in the face of the current economic challenges.
