Plateau State governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has approved the immediate implementation of N70,000 minimum wage for workers in the state.

The approval followed signing of agreement of the committee on consequential adjustment of salaries on Wednesday November 13, 2024.

A statement by the state’s Head of Service, Stephen Gadong, said the implementation of the new wage demonstrates government’s commitment to prioritising the wellbeing of its workforce in acknowledging their invaluable role in driving government development goals.

Gadong encouraged civil servants to embrace this gesture by recommitting to their duties with renewed dedication and zeal towards fostering a culture of production and excellence in the service of the state.
