In a message commemorating the anniversary on November 17, Hon. Ikwechegh expressed gratitude to his constituents for their trust and collaboration, describing the journey as extraordinary.
He emphasised progress made in addressing challenges and implementing initiatives designed to spur sustainable growth and development.

“This journey of leadership has been nothing short of extraordinary. I am deeply gratified by the strides we have made together—addressing critical challenges, advocating for our collective interests, and championing initiatives for sustainable growth and development,” he stated.
Hon. Ikwechegh’s first year has been marked by visible progress in infrastructure.

Key achievements include the rehabilitation and expansion of roads, distribution of over 15 electricity transformers to improve power supply, and the installation of more than 1,500 solar-powered streetlights to enhance security and economic activities.

Education has remained a core focus of Hon. Ikwechegh’s tenure. Over 200 students have benefited from university scholarships, while schools like Eziama Central, Riverside Primary, and Constitution Crescent have received learning materials, furniture, and other resources.
