Akobundu spoke at the end of the second batch of a capacity building workshop on peace and conflict management he organised for the monarchs, town union leaders, women and youth bodies, and local vigilantes.

The People’s Democratic Party legislator said he facilitated the workshop to contribute his quota to forestall incessant security breaches and conflicts in some communities in the district.

“As custodians and promoters of our traditional values of peace, brother lioness and good neighbourhood, it is imperative that you continue to be equipped with emerging trends in resolving conflicts,” he noted.

“In my determination to ensure that as many stakeholders as possible benefit from this programme, I decided that it is done in batches, hence today ends the second batch in the series.”
