PICTORIAL: Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello Laid To Rest In Oyo

The remains of late famous Islamic preacher, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello was on Friday laid to rest in his Akobo, Ibadan home in Oyo State.

Sheikh Bello was buried after the Muslim afternoon prayer (Asr) on Friday, December 6 according to Islamic rites.
LEADERSHIP earlier reported the passing of Bello on Friday December 6, 2024 at the age of 84.

Among dignitaries that bid the late cleric farewell were the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal who led top government officials to the burial.

Prior to his internment, a complete recitation of the Holy Qur’an was performed as a prayer for the deceased after the Jumu’ah prayer at the Central Mosque within the deceased’s residence.

Countless number of Islamic clerics, political figures, representatives of traditional rulers and mourners had thronged the residence of the Sheikh who died in the early hours of Friday ahead of his burial.

The sympathisers included members of different Muslim organisations, groups and individuals who were at the residence to pay their last respect to the late cleric.
