The member of the House of Representatives from Maiha, Mubi North, Mubi South federal constituency, Hon Ja’afaru Abubakar Magaji has appreciated the federal government for keeping faith with the establishment of two federal medical centres in Adamawa State.

One of the centres is located in Hong and the other in Magaji’s constituency, Mubi.

Hon Ja’afaru said President Bola Tinubu should be commended for the gesture.

He expressed joy about the recent signing of a memorandum of understanding, when the federal government officially took over the centres’ sites from the Adamawa State Government.

The lawmaker said, “I am delighted about the signing of MoU between the federal government and the Adamawa State Government.

“In some of these instances, there may be no mutual understanding, more so because of the political differences (between President Tinubu and Governor Ahmadu Fintiri). Luckily enough in this case the state government and the federal government are on one page.”

Recalling that it was President Muhammadu Buhari who signed the bills establishing the two medical centres, Hon Magaji said, “We appreciate President Buhari who signed the hills into law and President Tinubu who is ensuring smooth implementation of the laws regarding the two institutions.”

LEADERSHIP recalls that the Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, had on the 29th of last month signed the conversion MoU with the federal government, thereby formally handing over the cottage hospital in Hong and the General Hospital Mubi for conversion into the respective federal medical centres in view.
