A non-governmental organisation, Dr Krystal Chanchangi Foundation, has launched a sporting competition aimed at harnessing the potential of youths in basketball and related activities.
The exercise, which took place in collaboration with the office of the SSA Youth and Diaspora Police Community Relations Committee at the popular MO Arena in Wuse , Abuja, saw the winners smiling home with cash prizes.
The outreach was an advancement of the Foundation’s commitment to selfless community service, especially in the area of access to quality education, sports empowerment and feeding the underprivileged areas across Nigeria .
The winning team in the female category (basketball) went home with a hundred thousand naira, while the male champions pocketed three hundred thousand Naira) and the second runners up smiled to the bank with one hundred and fifty thousand naira only.
Founder of the Foundation, Dr. Krystal Chanchangi, said the sport engagement is her own contribution towards assisting young people in discovering their inner potentials.
“I’m passionate about helping Nigerian youths especially the kids who have little or no support for educational opportunities,” she said..
“I have been doing philanthropic work for nine years. It’s a process that gives me joy and I will never get tired of giving back to society.”
