They made the call yesterday in Okuku, Osun State, at the formal inauguration of Alolade Oyinlola College of Health Sciences and Information Technology, Okuku and 2024/2025 matriculation ceremony for pioneer students of the institution.

Makinde, who sponsored 70 students drawn from all the local governments of his state specifically, asked parents not to hesitate in emptying their bank accounts for the education of their children, adding that Nigeria has a lot to benefit by having its youths skillfully trained, intellectually developed and professionally equipped.

On his part, Governor Adeleke who commended the proprietor of the institution, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola for establishing the school, stressed the need to have competent manpower for the health sector for the benefit of Nigerians.

The governors who were represented by their commissioners, Salihu Adelabu (oyo) and Adedipo Eluwole (Osun), tasked the matriculating students on good character.

Also speaking, the chairman, Board of Trustees of the institution, and former executive secretary, NUC, Prof Peter Okebukola noted that the school is the only college of its status in the whole world that has about 40 per cent of full professors teaching students.

The proprietor, Oyinlola, before leading dignitaries for the official commissioning of the college, urged the matriculants to shun negative tendencies that may truncate their academic activities, urging stakeholders not to give up on education.
