Arewa Women for Empowerment has urged Nigerians to show love to one another as exemplified by the birth of Jesus Christ.

The group which stated this in a goodwill message to mark this year’s Christmas, drew attention to the virtues of love, empathy and tolerance, traits exhibited by the Lord Jesus Christ throughout his sojourn on earth.

In a statement issued by the chairperson of the organisation, Aishat Ibrahim-Ali, the  group said Christmas was an occasion for sober reflection for mankind to demonstrate oneness, forgiveness and empathy as Jesus taught while he was on earth.

The Arewa women also hailed the president of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, for reducing  the price of petrol to N899 per litre.
