The cyber attack resulted in losses exceeding ₦600 million, leading the company to temporarily restrict withdrawals and seek assistance from law enforcement agencies.

Following an investigation by the National Cybercrime Centre of the Nigeria Police (NPF-NCCC), four suspects, including a politician were arrested in November 2023.

This development has enabled Patricia Technologies to commence a phased repayment process, which began on December 10, 2024. Affected subscribers have been notified via email, with further batches scheduled for future disbursements.

CEO Hanu Fejiro emphasised the company’s dedication to its customers, stating.
