Governor of Bauchi State Bala Mohammed has commended the contractor handling the ongoing total renovation of the Wailo NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp over the quality of work executed.
LEADERSHIP reports that during an unscheduled visit to the project site, the governor inspected the newly completed corps members’ hostels and the ongoing construction of a multipurpose hall.
Addressing journalists after the inspection, Governor Mohammed explained that the project was initiated to address the infrastructural decay and improve the living conditions of corps members posted to the state.
He commended the contractor for adhering to specifications and assured that the state government would add value to the project by constructing new buildings and internal roads.
State chairman of the Project Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, Architect Baba Muhammed Dadi, who conducted the governor around the site, assured him that the work would stand the test of time.
Similarly, Governor Mohammed inspected the ongoing construction of the Azare Ultra Modern Market in Azare town to assess the progress of the project.
During the inspection, the governor urged business operators in Azare and the Katagum area to show more commitment by depositing funds that could be recycled into the construction of the market.
He noted that, at the moment, the project is solely being funded by the state government and the contractor.
Governor Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to delivering quality projects aimed at fostering economic growth and improving living standards in Bauchi State.
