The minister of foreign affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, has donated food items to vulnerable Christian families from nine local governments of Bauchi State ahead of this year’s Christmas festivities.

The food was distributed through Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar Foundation to enable Christians in the state to celebrate the Christmas and New Year festivities with ease and joy amid the country’s hard economic times.

Our correspondent reports that vulnerable families drawn from Dass, Tafawa-Balewa, Bogoro, Dambam, Katagum, Gamawa, Warji, Toro and Alkaleri received over 300 bags of rice and over 700 cartons of pasta and stipends.

The minister’s political aide, Ahmad Tilde, assured Ambassador Tuggar’s commitment to always serve humanity with passion devoid of race or religion.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Simon Okpanachi who expressed his delight over the donation, described the gesture as timely.

He recalled that this was not the first time they had benefited from such a gesture from Ambassador Tugga.
