Funke Akindele’s ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ Hits N551m In 12 Days

Funke Akindele’s latest movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, has made history as the fastest Nollywood film to gross N500 million, achieving the milestone within just 12 days.

The movie had earlier set the record for the highest-grossing one-day performance of all time, earning N87.8 million on its strongest day.

The latest record-breaking achievement was announced through an Instagram post by the actress and filmmaker, where she expressed gratitude to her fans.

Sharing a post on her Instagram page to celebrate the milestone, she wrote, “Thank you Lord!! Thank you everyone!!! I couldn’t have done this without your love and support!!!! God bless you all!!”

Everybody Loves Jenifa, the latest in the beloved Jenifa series, continues to follow the humorous and relatable journey of Jenifa, played by Funke Akindele.

The movie features a stellar cast including Falz, Nancy Isime, Stan Nze, and Layi, among others.

This is not the first time Akindele has shattered box office records. Her 2023 movie, A Tribe Called Judah, remains the highest-grossing Nigerian cinema movie of all time.
